I had no idea the Eiffel Tower was only supposed to be temporary. The Paris skyline would look so strange without it!

2:27 that image and some other pictures are from the expostion of 1900 (Grand Palais, Petit Palais, Pont d'Alexandere III, the river bank filled with pavillions of countries...)

The tower was built as an artistic statement in celebration to the bloody french revolution (french artisans led an attack against the french aristocrats). The design, however, was a representation of France to Industrial Revolution.

All I knew of it was who it was named after, him, and the country gifting us the Statue of Liberty (I joke with my mom that when she came to this country, she saw it as bronze) the people of gay paree hated it & thought it was ugly, and I REALLY want that hidden apartment in it

This was fun but I just feel like there's someone else who could've done this video that wouldn't mispronounce Eiffel every time or confuse astrology with astronomy
