I definitely love your "not sorry for loving you" animation, how you depict Odysseus' JUSTIFIED contempt, Calypso's beatings, attempted manipulation and passive-aggressive (ahem aggressive-aggressive) attitude, Ody's coldness when rejecting her, AND THE HIT CALYPSO GAVE HIM (love-hate that) the beautiful designs, the colorful backgrounds AND ODYSSEUS'S HAIR, please tell him to show the routine

OMG THIS ONE HURTS😭😭 everything from how he clamps down on his reaction when she says the he can leave, the constant dead expression so he wouldn’t break into tears, the hickey, her clawing and pulling at him, the punch, his wedding ring, and her expression like I did nothing wrong, why can’t you just love me, all driving home the abuse he suffered on her island

2:29 shows that she didn’t just SA him but also probably abused him when didn’t reply with “I love you” as we also know that as soon as she grabbed him he froze and instantly replied with “I love you” most likely a traumatic incident that had to have occurred multiple times for him to reply like that.

FINALLY!!! Finally someone who properly depicted this song. every time i head it, i was like "this song is so gaslighting wtf" but every animatic i saw of this song portrayed Calypso as the lonely girl who doesn't know the way of the words.. like dude!!! she knows what a wife is! she knows what people do in bed! she knows what she did was wrong! SHE"S JUST TOO MUCH OF A B!TCH TO APOLOGIZE! she blatantly tries to gaslight Ody for not loving her and people be like... "she's just a baby!!! my girl is was so lonely" YES!!! SHE DESERVES IT TO BE MORE LONELY!

it’s the fact that you can really tell she’s trying to get him to pity her and stay with her. Her voice sounds genuine but her body language and expressions shows she’s annoyed that he’s getting to leave and angry that he’s getting ready to go instead of “sympathizing” with her.
Ody saying “calypso” here was him trying to make her stop because he didn’t want to hear it instead of it being him trying to reach out to her like in other animatic’s. Her punching him when he said he doesn’t love her that way.

The evidence of abuse on Ody and the blankness in his eyes that turns into a sparkle at the end when he finally leaves. Him crying over his empty ring finger because she won’t give it back.

You perfectly portrayed how Calypso isn’t a sympathetic character, she’s a manipulator and an abuser. This was beautiful.

I love how you showed this, to me it looked like Calypso was trying to defend her actions while Odysseus is just "LET ME LEAVE."

This is how I picture Ody after dealing with Calypso for 7 years; he looks broken and just defeated. He has the face of a man who cries in his sleep for his wife (which he did in The Odyssey). I feel bad for Calypso that she was abandoned and had to deal with that trauma BUT she pushed that trauma on Odysseus, which is not cool! Even while she is singing, she still doesn't understand what she has done wrong and continues to play the victim but Odysseus at this point just doesn't care. I love the way you drew Calypso and my favorite part was when Ody smiles for the first time while he is on the raft!
