Christ, Ody saying 'I love you' solely to throw her for a loop so she'll stop forcing herself more on him is brutal. He doesn't even seem angry at her, just dead inside. I'm glad to see this angle explored, it's a messed up situation and as horrible as it is to watch (in concept, the art is beautiful) it needs to be said. This was phenomenal especially on that timeframe, hope to see more (of Epic or anything else)

I love that you can see the bruises she leaves on his arm at 1:07 when she says "let me speak" (as if he ever had a choice...) She's still hurting him to the very end, and she almost seems a little regretful, but her motives have all been selfish and this song just sounds like she's trying to justify her terrible actions.

I appreciate how this animatic shows just how horrible even this version of Calypso was to Odysseus. Sure, it is never made explicit whether she forced Odysseus to sleep with her or not, but she, at best, spent the last seven years sexually harassing him. That is the best case scenario, and even in this song, she is still trying to emotionally manipulate him. Jorge already made Calypso a bit more sympathetic by making her trapped on this island; in The Odyssey, it is just her home. She chooses to be on that island, the only person who was imprisoned there was Odysseus. So yes, I do feel bad that this Calypso was trapped for so long, but she inflicted that same suffering onto Odysseus, so the sympathy runs out very quickly.

this song feels like a theme for fictional girls who are in love with the male character but the love is not returned, and came to accept that fact, like sierra from total drama, or Amy Rose from Sonic. I can see sierra singing this.
