It's accurate and takes only ONE test-strip to get results. YES!!
2) "Doc, what can I have while fasting?"
    Salt + water are best.
Black coffee - I prefer cold brew coffee.

Fantastic walk through each level. It really helps me to progress, pause or go back as needed, reset, knowing what to expect at each step and being able to know my numbers only reconfirms what I'm feeling. Ketones for Life.

You are my favorite Dr. I am switching to OMAD in the morning for the chronobiological effects as you mentioned. I look forward to the simplicity and the mental discipline.

Light switch moment at 8:20, when you talked about food planning and filling in so much time with thinking about food. I am down 130lbs and yet I am obsessed with eating, thinking about eating, when and what I'm going to eat. How much I can stuff in me during my window. It has been my constant companion and is keeping me from loosing the last 60lbs.

Really enjoy your vids and never realized we’ve been 16:8 without ever realizing it. We tossed our larger plates, very seldom drink alcohol or fast food, twice weekly workout with a trainer, daily walks and enjoy being able to eat chocolate ice cream without guilt. Common Sense goes a long way; Wear a Mask & Stay Safe Everyone!

I’m currently at (typically) two meals per day… but if I eat after 4pm, I don’t feel like I sleep as well. So I already have my meals shifted earlier. Today may be a one meal day because it’s after 3:00pm and I’m still full from my first meal. I rarely socialize in restaurants and even when I do, due to years of food allergies, I am used to sitting there sipping on water while everyone else eats.

I started keto and did omad from day 1. After 1 week my (unknown to me) almost gangrenous gallbladder tapped out. Got right back to it the day after surgery and in 2 weeks from the start I'm down 23lbs and feel great, just a little sore still. Also did a 48hr fast from the night before surgery to the night after surgery.

Here is my suggestion about MCT oil .... It should be the last thing to consider doing .. how do I know this??? Most people have enthusiasm about losing weight and then they try everything .. when I tried MCT oil in January .. I felt like I was dying .... so I stopped ... 10 months later ... and after daily fasting and cleaning my diet and now I can take 15 to 30 ml a day ... so .. if you are not sugar free .. clean dieting and never fasted before ... dont to MCT oil .... I noticed after my 10 months I decided back go back .. and yes .. it does work .. Ketones everywhere ... weight falling off ... from 330 to 260 now ... and I continue .. finally .. if I was on you tube .. I would tell people do things gradually ... NOT EVERYTHING at once .... or you will fail.

Dr. Boz, I find your videos to be very interesting and enlightening. Especially when you talk about treating cancer with the Keto diet. I am so sorry for your loss.

You jumped from 16:8 to 23:1. What about 18:6 and 20:4? 20:4 is what I follow most days. A study was done that shows an increase in hGH when doing 20:4, as well as 23:1.

I find my comfort zone is doing 18:6, but I still persevere and do 20:4. At almost one year of being in ketosis I still have my last 10 pounds to lose to be in a "normal" BMI weight category (I'm 6'1"). I got three, "WOWs" out of my Doctor last week while reviewing my annual labs. One each for weight loss (55+ lbs), A1C (4.9) and HDL (112) & LDL (84). No, those cholesterol numbers are not transposed. It's the first time in my life I have seen my HDLs higher than my LDLs. My guess is my cholesterol numbers are atypical. But then, I have never lived the Keto lifestyle before.

Keto and intermittent fasting has changed my life and my life expectancy. I encourage others to do Keto & intermittent fasting and see how their numbers change. More than likely for the better.
