Your tests are very creative. Scanning an entire passage for a word is not easy.

its pretty easy just scan the paragraph quickly from left to right but dont go to the end of the line, instead instantly slope down to the next line and your eyes should follow a zig-zag like pattern on the way down

Your speed reading is finding the "word". This contrast to how generally people speed read for comprehensibility. So they read in chunks. Perhaps you can create another test in chunks or blocks or words that appear for a one or few seconds basing on how many words per second you are testing and those words are in "blocks" too. Of course, getting the reader to write out or explain in their own words what they have just read is the outcome since we want comprehensibility and not mouthing word-for-word. Cheers!

Hello. If you're still checking comments on your older videos and are open to suggestions or making new videos, please do a "find the typo(s)" type video! It would be a very similar if not identical format to this one, except the text would be seamlessly filled with misspellings or "typos" and the viewer has limited time to find them all. I think it would be a good practice, since you'd have to scan every single word carefully. Typically when reading, you don't scan every single letter in a word or at least don't scan every single word carefully, you simply look at the word for long enough to recognize it fully and then move on, while not looking at several characters of said word. Maybe it would be a fun test.

Like it's hard for me cus of the time but I tried to use a technique where I looked through the paragraph vertically from left to right.
Disadvantage for me of using this technique instead of line by line is that any distraction from what I'm doing, completely throws me off😂 and that's pretty much mostly why I failed 5
