Homemade Chicken Plucker

We made this chicken plucker from these materials:

- 4 inch PVC Pipe
- Two 4 inch Caps
- 1 Piece of 5/8 inch Threaded Rod
- Two 5/8 inch Bearings
- Two Bearing Retainers
- Pulley
- Old Bench Grinder Motor
- Belt
- Bungy Cords

I had am thinking of doing the same thing only using 2 tubes both rotating inwards to do the back and the front at the same time. I can attach the feet to a rope and lower it up and down that way my arms are not being plucked lol. I am accident prone.Do you see any cons to this?

How do you stop the sewer pipe rotating on the threaded bar? Lock nuts?

does the chicken feel anything while its being sheared? will its feathers grow back in time for winter?

It appears you recorded this by a cell phone. The problem we have is that you need to learn to turn your phone so its horizontal so those black bars will go away. And instead of using all thread you could of used a straight 1/2 smooth bar.
