@12:40 using a 3/4" counter sink for smoothing the edges would save a lot of time. Food for thought for all watching. Great video. Thanks.

Brilliant! We can't get pluckers shipped to Alaska, so I've been looking for an alternative. Love this idea.

Really interesting project. Ironically we just has a washing machine start leaking 2 days ago... Guess I'm gonna need to make my own version now too. I'm glad you came across my channel, because that timing couldn't have been better!

I really like your version. I'd heard about the washing machine version. I was just wondering how the tub would hold up. But the best part is the reuse of the spin shaft and original motor. Just to throw it out there. While we're talking about recycling. I have several motors from other appliances, but most of them shouldn't be used in an application around water. Soooo... If you have some stuff (motors) That can be recycled for cash Recycling centers pay by the pound. Or you could take out the copper and heat off the varnish for most likely No. 2 grade. Then you could buy a motor, or help with the cost of other parts. Just a suggestion. Cause good quality (Kent C25) fingers are also not cheap.

Here's a machinist tip when drilling holes. Get a can of WD-40 and spray it on the B when you're drill in the hole. Just one little shot of WD-40. Not only does it keep the drill bit Sharp it also causes it to cut a lot better and it will degrade into the metal a lot better. Which means quicker. This works on All Metals steel as well as aluminum
