The hellpods are quite useful. Fully equipped with kinetic dampeners and shock absorbers. It also has a fresh clean cape that automatically attaches itself to the diver if the diver is present without one.

so, amazingly. i never finished the tutorial. i have not unlocked the achievement. I couldn't crawl under the barbed wire at the beginning and just accepted an invite (and still got the cape). and at this point, it feels way funnier not to go back and get it done

If you quit the tutorial right as it begins you will spawn on your ship without a cape. Did this by accident because I wanted to change my graphical settings due to extreme lag.
