The 'Amazing Spiderman' definitely has some unique tricks and abilities, but do any of them stand up to scientific realities? We'll take a look at how some of Spiderman's main attributes could legitimately happen, while others...not so much!

There's one thing to add... in the last episode of ultimate spider man, it was mentioned that what made peter spiderman was not just the bite, but it was him. I suppose that would relate to how it spread throughout every nerve and cell, as well as the right genetic makeup for it to happen, making peter special.

I had read that the comics had Spidey's wall crawling based off an electrical factor (hence why Electro was such a problem for him), but then the Sam Rami movies gave depicted Spider-Man with small hairs for gripping surfaces. It's quite cool to know that these are both actually true!

i guess i know why spiderman has always been my favourite from all the super heroes... i heard once that, considering the spiders sice, its actually the most dangerous creature on earth because of its abilities... would you increase the spiders sice while maintaining its strengh and abilities, it would thus outmatch every other creature on earth...well, not counting guns of course.

A special on ASAP science on many super heroes would be outstandingly interesting, maybe on the Hulk, the science on prosthetics like Iron Man, healing factors, Radar Senses, Super Soldier Serums, it would be so interesting.
