How to Make Tacos Al Pastor (Mexican Style Pork Tacos)

Hello my beautiful fam welcome back to my kitchen! Today I’m going to share with you how to make the best tacos al pastor! Tacos al pastor are usually cooked with a gas flame on a vertical rotisserie called a trompo, well since mostly those trompos are at a taco shop, today I’m going to show you how to get the same delicious flavor at home! **TIP leave about 1/2 cup of the marinade to use to grill the tortillas 😉

Ingredients: makes 14 tacos
1 1/2 lbs pork loin roast
5 chile guajillo
1 chile ancho
1/2 white onion
3 garlic cloves
2 bay leaves
2 cloves
1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup pineapple juice
2 oranges(freshly squeezed juice)
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon pepper
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon thyme
1 tablespoon oregano
1 package sazón Goya
Toppings:
Grilled pineapples
Cilantro/Onion mix
Salsa
Lime
1 serving of love 💕

I just tried this. The chili paste was incredible. The taco with the grilled pineapple, cilantro/onion and lime was so full of flavors and so satisfying. The citrus with the pineapple really brought out the flavor of the pork.

I'm Asian but when I discovered Mexican food as a kid, I was a fan since and I remember having the Mexican restaurant owner picked a meal for me; he chose al pastor tacos. Man was my mind blown away 😳 it was soooo good. I'm definitely going to try this recipe, looks easy enough 😜

I've made tacos Al Pastor six times in the last month but I've been doing them over charcoal with hickory chips. I like to sauce mango and pineapple before it goes on the grill, I add the mango and pineapple into my pico de gallo, seems to be a hit. I always do beef tenderloin straight up with it as well so if somebody doesn't like the sweeter tacos Al Pastore they can have steak tacos.
Two of my most favorite things to eat in the world.
