Crush Card Virus was THE legendary prize card of all of YuGiOh. It commanded absurd prices and its effect was legendarily overpowered. To me and everyone I knew, even among professional circles, that card was nearly a myth. To me the errata to that card was not only insulting to the card itself but also a travesty to the history of YuGiOh as whole and the legendary status it held among veteran players.

Believe it or not "Rise of the Snake Deity" received an errata nerf for what ever reason. The card read "If Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes is destroyed, Special Summon Vennoninaga the Deity of Poisonous Snakes from your hand or Deck."

They changed it to "When Vennominon is destroyed (by card effect), Special Summon Vennominaga". Thats bullshit, why nerf a card that barely sees play.

Well of course for temple of kings.. that was a great Errata, the card wasn't designed when synchro and XYZ were just ideas. Imagine someone topdecking, both of the combo pieces, using all your traps, then tributibg and summoning something like an Asier monster, Crystal wing, psyframe omega, hope harbinger, seven sins, hope zexal, that would be moronic.

Wow, I definitely agree that Sinister Serpent was the worst of all of them; especially since many other newer cards have effectively the same effect, it seems illogical to hit only Sinister Serpent. As for Temple of the Kings, the trap-related effect is somewhat similar to Traptrix. Yes, Temple of the Kings applies to all trap cards rather than just "Hole" trap cards, but it does give your opponent to destroy the card before activation. As for the extra-deck-related effect, yes, it is nerfed from what it would be. However, it is not nerfed from what it originally was. Back when the card was released, fusion monsters where the only monsters in the extra deck; therefore, the clarification was not necessary. When they added synchro, xyz, and now pendulum monsters, it makes sense for them to add that clarification.

Goyo Guardian can be added to this list. Goyo lost relevance a few years ago and pretty much no one ran it in the TCG when it got back to 3. Removing the generic requirement to summon it and forcing you to run Earth tuners means that Goyo is complete trash. Wow big beater with decent effect that was powerful about 7 years ago. Now atk values aren't extremely important. Goyo's monster snatching effect is lot less useful nowadays. Rip the long lived and loved Synchro staple.

What about Majestic Star Dragon's Errata, where its final effect went from "During the End Phase, return this card from the field to the Extra Deck, and Special Summon 1 "Stardust Dragon" from your Graveyard." to "During the End Phase: Target 1 "Stardust Dragon" in your Graveyard; return this card from the field to the Extra Deck, then Special Summon that target."

Purely because, while errata's main intention is to fix translation issues, this one introduced a translation error on a card that previously didn't have one.
