CHASE WILL PAY DEARLY FOR THIS DISCRIMINATION. THERE IS NO WAY THEY DID HER RIGHT.

I work a corporate job, dressed in a suit, well groomed, and Chase did the same to me. They tried to confiscate my check while stating that my check was fraudulent. I replied, " it's a chase check." They didn't want to verify it through the numbers at the bottom or call my employer's HR and CFO. I also showed them my employee badge, prior check stubs, and receipts from other visits. It wasn't until I stated I would call the police if they didn't return my check and take my business elsewhere. I called my HR and CFO myself and explained to them the situation; they called the branch, and the tellers and management believed them, not me. They didn't even apologize. #BankingWhileBrown #SMH

I used to work for a construction firm and there is a black owned bank in the NY area called CARVER BANK, named after Washington Carver. There should be at least one national bank that serves the entire country that is black owned.

Oh man I know the feeling I work for a construction company and one of the homeowner gave me a tip for 200 dollars when I went to citizens bank to cash it the teller told me it was policy that he had to call the account holder to cash the check when he called the homeowner he told them that the check looked suspicious but my coworkers who are white walked in and cashed their checks no problem I wonder how dumb the teller felt when the homeowner gave him a piece of his mind especially since Im the most reliable employee the company has

Sue the pants off them!! Chase employees should be ashamed. I’m sure the way the story went down was the way she told it and not the people they spoke to employed at the bank. If Chase keeps it up they will not be around much longer.

How despicable. I just opened an account with chase for a settlement I got and deposited a very large check. I never once went in, did everything online by simply submitting a picture of my ID. My guess is they saw I was white and decided there was no issue. I’ll be going in on Monday to close out all accounts.

I know for a fact, every single bank have security cameras at every inch of the bank. Who say what doesn't matter, roll the tape. Hope she wins her case.

As a prior bank employee what they did was unethical and deserves a deeper look into their practices. There are numerous ways to assure fraudulent checks are not processed through the bank preventing monetary loss. The account could have been opened, and the funds placed on hold until the check cleared. She should sue for more because they will do this again.

To the Chase Bank in this video: You racially profiled your future bank client and filed a false police report against her based on the color of her skin and decided to lie that she was cashing a fake check. You need to be replaced by competent staff who can tell the difference between people who are actually INNOCENT clients and those who are true criminals.

Chase is lying. As a former employee those are not options we give potential clients upon opening an account, an ACH deposit is a direct deposit. We might offer this suggestion should a client take issue with the timing of said funds being available, but offering such a suggestion in absence of an account to deposit into is asinine. I would be insulted as a banker if someone suggested I offered an ACH option before opening an account. I actually would be neglecting my client as in this case, an ACH deposit could have probably gotten her a $200.00 cash bonus.

How on earth can Chase say they did not assume criminal activity if they say in the same breath that the teller thought she was being scammed? LIARS.

They should've went ahead with her request to open an account and verified the check in the process instead of denying service without a legitimate reason .
