I hope this will include recipes! Sometimes figuring out how to cook more than a few things with a new ingredient is the hardest part, especially over time.

Love this so so much. We are keen foragers but the idea of solely eating foraged food is inspirational. I wonder if this is possible without all the travel? Obviously time of year matters a great deal too

I hope you get to visit Maine sometime, as well. The Maine Organic Farmer's and Gardner's Association (MOFGA) has a huge organic festival called the Common Ground Fair in September (23-25th this year) which is far more impressive than I imagined it could be, and has a little of everything involving homesteading, farming, wild edibles, living in the woods, building community, etc.

And, in general the mid-coast, especially the Belfast area, as well as the area around Colby College, is really very excited about many of the same community resiliency and local food kinds of work that you do. (The only real problem is that there's almost no public transportation, and even less since Covid started, and even walking and biking can be a bit challenging with the local motorists being ignorant of the rules of the road. But I do my best to keep people happy with my on my bike, with my trailer and lots of stuffed animals and flowers all over the bike.)
