I can tell that ball from the video for heavy phones probably wont hold up. It looks like it may slide downwards because of how smooth the magnet is. If you could create the same thing with a etched pattern that had deep rugged grooves it wouldn't move very easy. Its better to have a rough less easy adjustment than a failing product.

what's the dimension of the 3m sticky base on the ball? there's just one size ball, right?
