Set up preconditioning in BMW i3

Set up preconditioning for the i3 from your menu in your car.

This is different from cabin heating from your phone app. which only heats/cools your cabin.

Preconditioning also heats/cools your battery which increases your range and helps protect your battery from excessive wear over time.

Note:
Preconditioning will drain your battery unless you are plugged into a level 2 charger.

Preconditioning takes about 2 hours for a full cycle. That means the car will begin preconditioning about 2 hours before the departure time you set.
