Great review. Personally I dont mind having to switch lenses out from the ground. My biggest inconvenience is that it doesn’t have continuous autofocus since I am always flying solo.

I think you've missed the point of the Inspire 3 system. It's a tool for professionals to produce the best possible results. People in the movie industry are mostly concerned about getting the very best shot possible, and a lot less about convenience. I use this drone to take professional landscape photos, that are printed very large. I spend the whole day finding my compositions with a Mavic 3, and fly the Inspire 3 around dawn or dusk to get the best possible light. I spend a week in a location and come away with 1 or 2 shots I edit. The last thing on my mind is convenience of landing and changing lenses.

I did shot using a Wescam rig back in the '80's and used a 25-250. Gave me lots of options

All the shots were great. The colors, great! The night shots were amazing. The one that surprised me me the most was the blue lights on the structures and the reflection off the water.

That’s the cool thing I miss about the X5s being a micro four thirds camera is being able to throw an Olympus 45 1.8 and having an effective 90mm reach. Cheers Billy. I’m still waiting for a nice used $11k Inspire 3 to jump into that full frame goodness

To resolve the optical zoom lens they just need to increase the strength of the gimbal because a DL mount zoom does exist the 17-28mm for the ronin 4D, but that lens is 2x the weight of even the 75mm DL and if the zoom range was further than that it'd weigh even more.

The way around it would be then be an even larger drone to accomodate the new gimbal design etc, but that'll then make the new inspire even more of a chore to take around or they can design it as a cinelifter but then comes the exchange on battery life to power 4 more motors.

Oh far out - didn't realise you could tap into using the Vision Assist cameras in the FPV view. Can't wait to get my I3. Still want Tele Lense with it though...Doing a lot of work with the I2 where if we were landing to change lenses all the time it would ruin the workflow.

I see a spot at the bottom of most shots. Just left of center. What is that? Dirt on the sensor or something in the lens.

Optical zoom is one of the reasons why I'm still rocking my Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom combo vs going to the Mavic 3 series for my drone work 👍🏿👍🏿 That I3 footage is awesome but overkill for most of my work

You have a mark on your sensor in some of the clips. More or less on the bottom left of the frame.
