I don't want to invalidate anyone's feelings or journey but the people you surround yourself with also play a massive role in how you feel. I was always heavy and when I lost weight a few years ago, I was the most miserable I have ever been because everybody around me kept chanting "you're almost there, keep losing the weight, you will be beautiful." I was starving myself and hated my skin and had loads of untreated hormonal and liver issues. I gained all the weight once I got back home and my depression got worse. I've heavy again but in a better state of mind and I'm starting my journey again to be fit and muscular. It's no longer due to peer pressure and I'm hoping it sticks since I've learnt to be grateful for my body and accept my bulges as a part of me.
