I wouldn't have believed the cops at my door were real just based on how over weight they were

His wife should have waited on police instead of thinking she’s was to could to remain on the scene due to her rich statue .

When the DA threw out the case against the husband, that's a clear sign that his lawsuit against the cops is going to be a slam dunk, but expect the police dept. to put the taxpayers on the hook for a hefty legal bill defending the indefensible until someone with sense agrees to offer enough to get a settlement, also at taxpayers' expense. Arresting the husband for telling his wife that the cops need to come back with a warrant was clearly retaliation. The wife's case is more problematic because she should've covered her bases during the 2 week interval, but her husband should collect enough money to make up for whatever they throw at her.

So she was a criminal and still want to be rewarded for that

Another example of police overstepping their legal authority.

You can tell they think they are privileged and maybe she had a few cocktails… maybe not … but She left and hoped it would all just go away …

If you don't want to hand over your name address insurance and all the rest of that stuff for whatever reason, ok, stay at the scene, the police will get the information from you and will give it to the other person.

If you don't want the other person to have your information hire a chauffeur or use taxis.

she hit and then she ran. am I missing something here? or was the problem her being treated like anyone else? 🤔 I'll hold

Both the wife and the husband obviously think that they don't have to follow the same rules that the rest of us have to.
They don't deserve a dime for their troubles.

This couple should get a life! She refused....bad...consequences followed! Stop wasting our tax dollars just because you believe that you are above the law.

This is stupid.. She could have gave her policy number and insurance company name with her name and this would have been settled.. But refusal is jail.. Now they are suing? So police make 1 phone call and arrive 2x.. enough is enough.. Money Grab....

I agree, Arrest was really stupid, wife and husband are correct, police department has all the paperwork on file on the stocking issues. Hope they win the Law Suit.
TEXAS GOVERNMENT makes their own laws

Years ago, I was in a fender-bender with a van that received much more damage than my SUV. We were disputing who's at fault. I wanted to call police but she was on her way to an important appointment and had kids in the car. Everyone was calm and civilized. We agreed to fix our own damage (exactly what we did) and went on our way. If she had called the police on me after I left, would that have made me "privileged, " and should I have been expecting cops to be knocking on my door?
