That turning around for a second look at your own car is such a great feeling for us car enthusiasts

As a learner of your language, I am grateful for your frequent inclusions of English idioms, which I find really valuable and entertaining. Thanks.

My dad got a 2012 XF-S saloon (all black and nice cream leather) and he is very happy with it. The car has run over 223000 km (over 138000 miles) and still going strong - no reliability issues yet. He previously had many BMW 3 and 5 series, but now he preferes the Jaag! I'm always pretty excited when I'm allowed to drive it. It is a really special car.

That red & black interior with the red exterior goes so well IMO.

Partly because of this video, I bought myself an XF Sportbrake. Its a 64 plate, 3l V6 XF S, Portfolio spec and Black Edition. Pretty much identical to the car you have here but in black. The only concession to the black are the chrome Jaguar side details and the rear logo. Its an absolute beast, so thanks for the video.

I’m military serving overseas but when I’m back I’m buying from this guy. Top videos, please keep them coming. FYI BMW 640 Gran Coupe is what I’ll be looking for😉

Lovely car that, I’m a Jag fan and that’s a particularly nice one, shame about the Garish leather though .

Totally agreed, one of the best looking estates in recent time. Looks great with the black trim. Great review as always...keep it up!

Re: lack of seat travel. When it reaches it's forward limit, try holding the adjuster knob forward for more than 2 seconds. If it continues it's travel there may be a sensor fault. If it moves for half a second, it's in it's inch-by-inch mode. It's a function to prevent the driver being crushed against the steering wheel. Maybe it's a response to the demo graph of the typical Jag owner? (60+ and portly)

I have this car in this colour in the 2.2 R Sport sport break in Italian racing red. Everthing you just said was true and backed up all the reasons why I told the Mrs I'm not getting rid of it! 45mpg on the motorway, 27 round town. Looking back for a 2nd look is a daily thing when it's clean, everyone comments on it! It's really got under my skin and I love it! Even looked after me when the tyre blowout on a cold icey Morning! Top video!

Great review! As a past owner of the 3.0D saloon, I can agree the costs to maintain are not any higher than anything comparable and they are very reliable and a great drive. Only additional expense you didn't mention that potential purchasers should be aware of is the tendency for the rear discs and pads to need changing around every 25k miles, or sooner if you live in Milton Keynes with all the roundabouts! Go to a specialist rather than a main dealer and save a bundle, still using good quality manufacturer equivalent parts.

Beautiful car. I have an XFR and the X250 XF is definitely the one to go for. Jaguar kept them in production for over 7 years and perfected it like a fine wine.

I’ve had my 2014 one since it was just over a year old and *every time* I walk up to it I love how it looks and am excited to drive it.

I currently have an XF, and love it, having had BMW's in the past, which scared the life out of me with it binging and bonging for the least little thing.
And I have only spent on servicing and brakes. The BMW's had sensors replaced and other parts replaced. Much prefer the Jag to drive

Owned the same model shown now for a few years and have loved it. No major issues, great form long and short trips etc. Did change the wheels down to the 19" ones to smooth out the ride as the 20" wheels are just too thin and easy to damage. Found all the old wheels were already slightly buckled due to potholes. One massive thing I was surprised you missed was the rear self levelling air suspension. This why it took so long to come out after the saloon as it was redesigned to be a dedicated estate rather than a saloon with a big bum. Did bring me some joy when speaking to guy who just brought a brand new £80k+ BMW 7 series, who was bragging about how it was one of the only cars with air suspension and how he would never go back now. So just lifted the boot cover and told him "yeah its nice, only paid 20k for mine though" ha ha.

Two and half yr ownership has been a pleasure. Two oil and filter services, changed all belts at 80k, one alternator and one water sensor in fuel filter. Recently took it 500 mile and averaged 54mpg, 38mpg local. Leak in tailgate is easily cured by removing bumper, lights and putting bead of silicone around louvre rubber seals. Would love a f type but difficult to get rid of a car so reliable and pleasurable to own! Totally agree with Matt's honest review of this model.

I have a late 2013 3.0 litre XF Sportbrake Premium Luxury, which I have owned for over 4 years. Apart from regular servicing, replacement parts - tyres, brake pads etc., it has never given me any major problems. It's comfortable, handles well for a big car, fast when you need it and spacious enough to carry 2 large dogs in the boot. And, as you say, a good looking car that stands out in the crowd...what's not to like!

I owned two XF's the old 3.0V6 and the 2018 2.0 - I loved the 3.0 and sold the 2.0 within 6 months. I loved the mid range overtaking power of the V6 it was effortless and pulled like a train. Tech was the only thing that let it down as a bit dated.

Beautiful cars, rather have this over any German car. Looks stunning, sporty while classy. I remember going in a workmates xf sv8 when he first bought it few years back, truly awesome cars.
