If you look at the used car market, you'll find used Jaguar cars are cheap! Does that mean you should buy a used Jaguar? Well, I'm going to explain why they're cheap, and it includes things like reliability, depreciation, and quality. We'll walk through why I'm going to pick up another one of these Jaguar vehicles on the used car market and why I think it's going to be a great idea for some.

Bought an Fpace for cheap. Pulled the supercharger, 24$ coupler upgrade and supercharger oil change. Swapped all coolant pipes for metal versions. Cost $180 total and 4 hours of my time (Jag wanted $3800). Purs like a kitten now with no leaks.

I just bought a 2017 F pace thidbpast May with just under 80k miles. I love it and it definitely is a head turner. I change the oil and perform minor maintenance myself. Im now up to 90k miles, and she's still purring.

Jag makes some beautiful parts availability, and dealership access are all reasons why i never touched one. Closest dealer is about 35 miles can get bothersome if you have to go there frequent. Thanks for sharing Mark. I do enjoy hearing about yours!😊

Agreed on the depreciation. That's why I bought a pre-owned 2016 XF R-sport. Absolutely reliable, no problems whatsoever. even drove it from Manchester U.K to Venice, Italy with a side trip to Paris. Great all the way.

We brought a new F-Type 8 years ago and a new XE 7 years ago, still have them lovely cars. No real problems, will keep them for the foreseeable future.

I've owned a Jag 2011 XJL for about 3 years now (without a warranty) and its been waaay more reliable than I expected.. Its my weekend car so that may be whats been saving me.. I've had such a good experience with this car that I'm considering upgrading to a newer XJ or keeping it and picking up a older F-type..

Fell in love with Jaguar in my youth riding in my aunt's '69 E-Type convertible. Owned a '98 XJ-L and currently own an '11 XF 5.0 V8. Constant problems with both. Anything on the vehicles that is constructed of plastic or rubber has fallen apart, disintegrated, cracked, leaked, etc. Went through 2 coolant reservoirs and a coolant inlet in 2 years on the XF. The parts cost triple what other manufacturers cost and due to low sales volumes, third party parts producers don't make much for Jaguar, so often hard to find OEM+ upgrade replacement parts. You often have to settle for the doomed to fail Jaguar original stuff.

That being said, they are FAR more luxurious than any of the competitors (BMW, M-B, Lexus, Audi). Ice cold AC, freezing cold ventilated seats, phenomenal leather, padding, and bolstering in the seating, and plush suede. When they're running well, they are the perfect balance of luxury and sportiness, and excel at chewing up highway miles at 85mph in insulated bliss.

If you can wrench and source parts yourself or have an affordable British/Euro mechanic, they are great. If not, STAY AWAY.

I love Jaguars. I had a old 2003 Jaguar S-Type . I bought it used & I was able to drive it for 7 or 8 years without any problems. Around the 7th year of me having it I had to get a new fuel pump but that was it. The car ran smooth & that was the only problem I had. I probably would still be riding it today if it didnt get stolen.

It does take a certain appetite for risk to buy one of these used. Even when they're working fine, those supercharged engines drink a lot of fuel, and even basic services like oil changes are more expensive than average. That being said, I've had my XKR for a year and a half now, and it's been pretty fuss-free. It doesn't act like a pampered princess. It starts every time and gets me where I need to go without issue. In terms of reliability it's certainly been better than some other cars I've had, though I recognize I may just be lucky and my experience may not be everyone's. I still see buying a used Jag as a lottery - you may hit the jackpot and get one that doesn't give you any issues in which case they're tremendous value for money, or you may get one that becomes your worst nightmare. May the odds be ever in your favor.

We had a 2005 S-Type, the car (black with biscuit interior) looked and drove awesome. Ford, back then, did a decent job with the drive train and chassis. There were no issues we experienced. Have not heard anything good about the Tata products, but the XJL is gorgeous. Sad about the depreciation and reliability issues. Complete awakening here (comes with age): Toyota Tacoma and a RAV 4 in our garage.

I have a jaguar xe r sport, absolutely love it and to date no issues, look after your jaguar and it will look after you.
I get a oil change twice a year with premium oil.
Great vlog.

Gotta hand it to you Mark, you put out a lot of credible information, video after video after video. People don't realize how difficult this is to maintain 👍

Ford actually shored up some of the historic Jaguar problems, specifically Lucas electronics. i owned a Lincoln LS years ago, and the car was essentially a Jaguar, in terms of suspension and power plant. i was very pleased with it (V8).

The 2013 XF that I bought in 2019 is my most beautiful and classy car. It's been fairly reliable: the EGR valve needed cleaning and had two rear parking sensors replaced. I love the looks - inside and out - and the way it drives. That blue F type is gorgeous and so is yours 👍.

I bought a 2002 XJR 100 for 16000$ in 2007. I ran the piss out of this car from 50, 000 until 110, 000 miles. I had to replace the thermostat and a shock! Got 10, 000 for the car in 2015 ! Best car I ever owned!

I have a 2012 Jaguar XF V8. I am the 2nd owner. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! It has been just as reliable as my previous Acura, Infinity, and way. Way better than a previous BMW. I am looking to get a 2021 F-Pace P400 next . I can't wait for prices to come down a little more. I highly recommend Jaguar as the reliability is getting much better since Ford had them.

I bought a jaguar xe petrol five and a half years ago, had the main module replaced under warranty and that is the only problem I've had, but I have only done 20, 000 miles, very reliable so far

I've had a 2017 F Pace S, a 2020 F-type SVR, my wife has a 2020 E Pace and I have another F PACE. I've never had any issues with any of them! I blown away there aren't more on the road. The warrantees 5/60000 lead the line, and I love the brand.
