Great vid! I saw the F-Type launch video up at the Jaguar proving ground test track in October 2012. Promised myself there and then I'd own one one day. Bought the V8R AWD convertible in April 2019. It was 3 years old, low mileage, full OEM service history and paid 48% of the sticker price with a 2 year extended Jaguar warranty. I can't ever see myself selling. A last hurrah of sensory overload. Nothing compares to visceral feeling of roof down, cold start and the cat destroying 3k rpm throttle tap!

All I can say is I’ve driven jags for the passed ten years. Absolutely love em. The genuine daily enjoyment I get from just being in the thing is massive. Absolute bargain to buy . Why the put down thumbnail ? All used prestige cars can be expensive to repair and are relatively cheap to buy. Keep your Mercs and Audis I’ll have a jag any day .

I am on my fourth Jaguar and I have not had a significant problem with any of them.

My wife and I bought a 2017 F-Type SVR in April.
We bought it as a mid 50s YOLO purchase for half of the original $130k sticker price with a one year CPO warranty through 2023.
Free maintenance and oil changes made this purchase a no brainer.
This 575hp beast manufactures smiles every time we drive it, seriously, you can’t help but smile when you drive it.
We are not wealthy people by and means but when we look back at our lives, we want to have more memories than dreams.

Had a jaguar regularly through my 42yrs of driving. The pleasure they bring to driving is something no other car can do

In 2019 I purchased a 2015 F-Type for $48, 000. The original owner took all of the depreciation, and I got a great car at a good price with only 19, 000 miles on it. I love the F-Type and have had no issues since I purchased the car. The key is to NOT buy one of these new, but wait for someone else to take the hit on the depreciating value before you buy. Then, all you have to do is enjoy the ride.

I’ve had 6 Jags & they’ve all been very reliable. My favourite was an 01 XJR, the only thing I had to spend money on was the rear active shocks £500 because they rattled slightly and it annoyed me and a bit of paint elsewhere. The most reliable was an 07 XK 4.2, a few electrical gremlins were solved with a decent battery. Absolutely nothing else needed, I would still have it today but I sold it to buy a house.

I’ve run an XF for 12 years and it has been faultless. Look after them and change the oil regularly - it is perfectly possible to do it yourself. The problem you highlighted has always been the case - they get bought by people who don’t have the cash or inclination to look after them.
I now have a new F Pace and it is without doubt the best car I have ever owned in 51 years of car ownership.

Bought my first Jaguar when I was 26 - Thirty five years ago! Have had 6 or 7 over that time. Always found them reliable, whether new or used. Had lots of other marques over the years, but always come back to

Bought a 2006 4.2 NA XK about 3 years ago. Nothing significant to report besides a few little electronics gizmos. Pretty darn reliable for a 17 y-o car! And boy is that thing absolutely gorgeous and classy in and out! Just love it. Oh and I paid only about 20% of the new sticker price for it. 😁
I don't care if they're considered 'old folks' cars'...I'm only 43 and love every minute driving that gorgeous thing with its torquey V8. 😍

I love my Jags and Range Rovers. Did 155k miles in my old XJR have done 127k so far in my current Range Rover. Great value, never had any big issues. Just use a good specialist and avoid the main dealers for servicing.

My father had a v8 f type for a bit. Hell of a car. Fast of course but the thing that sticks with me is just how well it handled, like it was on rails.

I've now owned 2 F-Types. My first was a White 16'Coupe. She was bulletproof. My second is a Black Convertible 2019 R Dynamic. The boost from 340 to 380hp was significant enough to make it feel faster. My lease has been extended so I can wait for my new Lotus Emira to arrive...👊💚👊

I drove an XF for many years. I bought it used and it had a couple years of warranty left when I got it. By the time the warranty ran out, it was a pretty well sorted car. The regular maintenance was about as much as the Maserati I replaced it with. Hundreds for an oil change and 3k for a full brake job, but it was much more reliable than the Maserati.

My first car is a 1997 jaguar XK8 convertible, I just bought it the day before yesterday and it was only $6000. As a younger buyer i can confirm i was more interested in mustangs, but then i saw it and it was more luxurious, faster, and had less problems than any mustang GT i could afford. I absolutely love it

You nailed it! I bought a Range Rover for pennies on the dollar. I do my own standard maintenance so I’m always ahead in costs. Beautiful and capable vehicle. Ironically at the LA Auto Show there were hordes of people at Jag, young and old literally drooling over the cars, maybe in real life they don’t feel worthy of ownership?

I bought a new F-Pace when they came out in 2017. Still driving it and still loving it

I have a 2016 XF, which I got after my 2017 XE lease ended. Absolutely love it, and you're right - I got it for a steal. Added a mega warranty for 3K, and I have a car that is fully warrantied until 2025/180, 000km. Total win.

I picked up my 2017 F-Type V6 with 60k for 28k and an extended warranty. You just can't beat that.

I've owned a used Jaguar XJL for two years, and besides general maintenance, I have only had to replace a mass airflow sensor ($150) .. So my cost of ownership has only been $75 per year.. Eh maybe I'm just lucky..
