Before any major Windows 10/11 update, double up and create your own recovery point and registry export/backup before updating. The Windows update/installer is not consistent in it's approach to different hardware and Windows versions.

Thanks Brian, even after installing that latest 517.48 nVidia drivers, system performance is still terrible, especially if dragging a screen around with a video playing, the video breaks up and I lose audio...I hope MS can fix it ASAP !

I just checked and my Acer Nitro has 3.26 Geforce Experience already. But I'm still going to wait until MS gets things sorted. I had also just about decided to force an update to Win11 on my 2016 Acer E15-575G with an Nvidia 950MX because I've really been liking the OS on the Nitro, but now...

Thanks for this video my pc automatically updated this morning and afterwards games where I was getting 65, 70 fps dropped down to 45 fps and was a stuttering mess. I’ve done what you said and rolled back and everything is working ok again now. Can’t believe windows would release this in the state it’s in what a bunch of 🤡 anyway thanks again for the video it really did help!!!

The analyzer looks through your current systems hardware and software platforms and if there are any known issues a Safeguard hold is put in place until a fix is found. I was unable to install it because my network printers were using IPP. After I installed the new drivers for those printers I was still unable to install it so I downloaded the ISO, mounted it, then ran it and installed 22H2. I’ve had no problems with anything and NVIDIA even released a driver (not in beta) that installed shortly after I upgraded. So far some of the newest features have actually been useful and I’m glad I forced the update. No BSODS, printer issues, nothing.

Thank you for this video. Microsoft Support techs have no clue. THIS video helps. Had to take my issue one step further. Had to convert my GPT disks to MBR, Reboot, Run updates, Reboot, and my Windows 10 was back. Huge PITA but it worked. Now I just hesitate to convert back to GPT.
