People complain about them breaking up and getting back together, tbh the only time they actually broke up is when Zuko left to help Aang, comics should be taken with a grain of salt since the writing is very OOC and nobody really liked it despite the term “canon” is slapped on it. Even if they did break up once and got back together doesn’t make them “not right for each other”-

Zuko’s character was always one that was set under a realistic lens and his relationships with others are that way too, his love life is rocky, bumpy, and difficult but he and Mai still love and want one another and I think that alone is why they’re perfect. They have unconditional love and are growing to be better for themselves and for each other.
