I don’t comment much, but your singing lessons on YouTube have helped me; I can not sing naturally, but once I began to practice, I sounded good, my mom heard me singing one day & asked me where I learned to sing (like that’s how good I sounded because I usually sounded bad lol )I have not been practicing much lately (I’m going to again ) but when I did it shocked me, so thanks for not listening to them because it helped me out a lot ❤️.

~ I have a similar story. Idk how I mustered up the courage, but I auditioned for a solo in 3rd grade choir. My music teacher also laughed w/fellow students. Eric, first of gave a music education degree from Baylor University and have since with numerous voice coaches. I don't believe teachers should laugh at a student being courageous to stand up on front of others and try out for the choir. Laughing as she did was extremely unwise because people can be scarred emotionally and never try something again. God that you were not scarred and continued to strive at singing and music. The true LESSON is that is one keeps practicing at something each day, they will improve. Even if singing is for one's joy and never meant for being a "professional" and making a career out of it, one can still achieve a goal of getting better. To allow others, even unwise teachers, to destroy dreams in your heart. Eric, I'm thankful for you.
