You should hear Ed Sheeran voice when he was a kid and before he knew how to sing. He’s a good example for practicing

I literally sang for 7 months and eventually I found out how to direct my voice. I’m not amazing but I’m definitely much better than I used to be and would go as far as to say I’m good at singing

I used to sing really badly when I was a kid (like 7 yo) but I'd keep singing everyday everytime bc well I just loved singing and it made me happy. Now I'm 17 and even tho I'm not the best, I can sing, I even played the main role at my school's musical in 7th grade! It takes time and effort yep but you just have to keep going :)

Advice for figuring out your own sound: Record yourself singing and listen to yourself. I know this is an intimidating task, but it will help you see what areas you need to improve on and how you make subtle changes for great effect.
