I'm a professional video editor and I no longer edit our YouTube videos! In fact, I don't think I've actually edited one of our videos on this channel for the last year and a half (maybe a little longer) - and it’s one of the best decisions we’ve made.

Outsourcing is the #1 way you can easily 10X your video output, improve quality, and do it in LESS time.

Oh, and before you switch off because you think "it's too expensive", "too difficult", "I don't have time" or "I'm just not ready"... I used to think the same thing - and I'm here to tell you all of those excuses are BS. I promise any so called "editor" you hire for between $3-7 hour will deliver an unwatchable, technical mess that you will be embarrassed to promote your business with. Good editing is a skill and an art form that takes years to develop. This guy is full of BS.

Justin...you have such a personal style! I’ve edited my own, learning as I go, getting a late start at 63, but CRAZY about shooting and producing everyday life stuff. We hike, bike, backpack and have “senior adventures” to share! How in the world do you get SO comfortable talking to the camera????!!! I look goofy and say silly things, then edit it out! Hubs thinks it’s funny, so sometimes I use it, at my expense. I don’t have a channel, yet, just not sure the world would really want to tune in to see what we are doing! I understand you can have a private channel, maybe that’d be a place to start?? Taking vids, editing them and thinking of new adventures is my new passion!! We got an action cam, but the stabilization wasn’t so good. Now graduated to a Canon, looks WAY more professional on the trail.

I've wanted an editor for a long while now. I used to have that "my videos are my art and no one can understand my art" mentality, but when editing took too much time away from creating, I soon realised I'd rather draw than edit.

Cost and non NBN internet is my main constraint now considering my videos are a tad longer than the typical talking head video. Not show how big your files are, but mine easily expand beyond 20gb for a tutorial. I'm considering trading skills. Trading my design skills for someone's editing skills. But again, that would have to be local because I'm stuck on prehistoric internet.
