Are Protestants now teaching SOLO Scriptura?? (Solo Scriptura vs Sola Scriptura) Many Protestants and Bible only denominations seem to now teach Solo Scriptura, not sola scriptura. Protestant can't agree sola scriptura and there seems to be a divide growing bigger. Though, both doctrines are unbiblical, its interesting to see the differences.

Nowadays I see more and more Protestants leaning towards Catholic teachings when they are asked by non Christians and Atheists ‘Where is the proof for your claim?’ And although from their faces it is very much evident that they don’t like to go down the road and quote the early Church writings which are Catholic writings, they have no choice but to go there! They will eventually have to accept the truth.

My friend and her boyfriend went to their pastor and asked if they needed to get married to live together and be intimate. The pastor said there is nothing in the Bible saying to get married that it's just a piece of paper. To make a verbal commitment is the same thing. So what they have is a covenant. I tried to talk sense to them but was told their pastor said it was ok. End of discussion.

I was thinking the same thing, because though a lot of Protestants are claiming “Sola”, they’re actually preaching “Solo”.
It’s so terrible. Non-Christians and Atheists decimate their illogical nonsense, then these ignorant Christians fall away because it’s grounded on an absurd foundation of faith.

This is crazy, my brother worked with a guy who said that we should ONLY pray the Lord’s Prayer/ Our Father…Why? Because Jesus told us “When we pray, say THIS”…according to this man, Jesus was specific HOW to pray with WHAT to say. Crazy stuff.

I keep thinking about the time mant years ago I was talking to my last prot pastor that I heard about writings that came after the writings of New Testament (Church Fathers) and he told me not to bother reading them and if it's not in the bible your not obligated to follow it. I remember thinking that doesn't real make sense, but I'll go along with it anyway.

Protestants are those on the last day who will say “Lord Lord! Why won’t you let me into Heaven? I did all these good works in your name for you and cast out demons and did all these great things! To which Jesus will reply: depart from me you evildoers. I NEVER KNEW YOU.” That’s the key right there Protestants deny is favoring legalism of the Scriptures like the Pharisees as their children.
