Hello again! I have an update regarding the follow up video.

Thank you all so much for the support! If you like the types of models you see, I currently take commission for CPM models and MC skins over on Vgen! Any support there would be greatly appreciated!

You can also @ me on Twitter if you need any more in-depth help, I'll try to provide what help I can over there with pictures!

For the people who is having problems with the second layer. In Blockbench, click on any second layer in the right part, where is "outliner" (for example: Hat, Jacket, Left Sleeve etc) and drag the .png in the textures on the left side to "UV" right above the textures

Amazing tutorial- I have been using CPM for my videos for a while now, but I never really knew how to create my own models because the GUI on CPM was just so complicated, but with block bench it's a piece of cake... Thank you for the good tutorial.

What did you do at 2:19 to show 2nd layer texture? The video seems to jump cut

Much more informative than most of other CPM tutorials. Thanks ❤

when I confirm the URL something pops up saying: Do you want to allow this plugin to make changes to your pc? Only load plugins from authors you trust.

is this safe

the cpm skin I want is in .cpmmodel format, and blockbench doesn't let me convert the file into a .cpmproject, becuase when I am in the minecraft menu the editor doesn't detect the .cpmmodel files, only .cpmproject ones, how do I convert it please?

Hey, what did you have to do to make the second layer show cause I’m having the same issue

I was struggling with the 2nd layer stuff but i figure it out (sort of). you can't have everything grouped first off, it NEEDS to be seperate (right leg, left leg, body, etc. they cannot be sub-groups within a larger group). you just need to click right arm, go to the add 2nd layer, and then you click the second thing of the same name (like how you can see two right_arm files) and drag your texture to the new one! idk if that makes much sense, i'm not great with explanations. also: with the version i have installed i had to move the arm textures due to having a slim model, unsure if it'll work ok later on but idk if the new versions automatically adjust it for slim models

i followed the complex model setup for the skin, when making the file bigger in medibang and then changing everything to per-face UV, but its still messed up. what do i do?

hi! great tutorial this is super helpful! although im a bit stuck with the animating part, when you start lining up the points at roughly 13:00 your points move on their own, but when i try to change things they all move together? is there any way to stop this? thanks!

I know you said you're working on a followup video, but I have a question incase you're still answering comments

I'm planning on making a "merman" style change for my player model, I'm playing as an aquatic race that cannot breathe air, and I wanted to change my legs to be one big fish tail. My issue is how would I go about entirely replacing the legs? And also, how would leggings/boots render? I plan on making them un-equippable anyways, but if they were equippable, how could I hide them? Or possible render armor over the tail somehow?

Thanks in advanced, mainly just wondering how to replace the legs.

I do not have the option for type of animation such as swimming etc and am unsure on what to do. I am not using a playermodel but used the wolf as a base so it is a multilegged creature.
