I had a friend that was a blackbelt with severe dry skin on his hands. When he was learning he was driving his hands into rice everyday to toughen them up. What he didn't know is that the rice can damage your glands for your hands causing skin problems. You have to apply some type of lotion every time after doing this exercise to prevent damage.

Great video. I believe your offhand being stronger then forearm is totally normal. Your primary hand is used for accuracy, you throw right, open door right etc. your left is the one that typically carries the load, bringing home groceries in left hand when right is free to use key etc.

I do this exercise every single day for 10 minutes in the morning. It has helped me maintain steady hands when I sharpen knives.

Part of me likes to think this exercise is a more gentle version of 'plow the fields with nothing but your hands' that Goku and Krillin went through when being trained by Master Roshi.

in Okinawan karate this is known as The jari bako (砂利箱, "gravel/pebble box") and is a box or bowl filled with smooth stones( i use beans), its not meant to develop big muscles but to toughen and condition your hands for karate

I'm glad to see more people are doing this type of training. I have been doing it for a couple months now and I have noticed a huge change, but I can't seem to find too much on it, at least compared to other types of fitness. Keep up the good work!

This is cool. Btw stuff like this definitely works because my friend is a dough mixer (or whatever it's called, he basically molds stuff from flour and hard dough), so he works with his hands 8+ hours a day, and he has crazy arms, especially biceps and forearms.

Do it with clothes in a bucket of water. While you're at it, put in some detergent. This way, you don't waste rice plus you've done laundry!

Idk why Youtube decided to recommend this to me, but you deserve more views tbh. Really solid video honestly, great work. Probably a personal preference but you might find trimming some of the fat from the videos might help with views and retention, but ultimately you should keep making videos that you enjoy making. For real though, impressive stuff and impressive results from the rice as well. Really didn't expect that at all

Thats a good start. Now you can try Nigiri Game jar training. Also, FYI using the starch filled water from "washing" your rice also helps improve skin condition somewhat. To relieve some of that cracked, dryness.

The color and layout of the thumbnail for some reason had me thinking this video was going to be about Diablo 4. But rice bucket training was way better. I liked the beautiful memories at the end as well. Well done!
