Reminds me of the unconditional love of God, and that can have two sides. (see Job 1:8) To really understand God's unconditional love, we need to read the rest of the story, for like I say, it has two sides, and as the book of Ecclesiastes teaches, that which hath been God requires in the future. As was Job's beginning, so it was during the last part of his life. Whatever it was that he learned, I believe it stuck with him the rest of his life. And he no doubt planted his corn and drank his wine again, knowing his sons and his daughters were saved, and are saved.
