Paul Harvey was an American radio broadcaster for ABC News Radio. He broadcast News and Comment on mornings and mid-days on weekdays and at noon on Saturdays and also his famous The Rest of the Story segments. From 1951 to 2008, his programs reached as many as 24 million people per week. Paul Harvey News was carried on 1,200 radio stations, on 400 American Forces Network stations, and in 300 newspapers.

Thank you so much for the Paul Harvey stories. I've just listened to about a dozen in a row bc they bring back such memories of trying to catch him on the radio during lunch. The only one I still remember one in particular here some 3 decades later involved a couple of young golfers in Dallas. One was NCAA champion Raymond Floyd who was playing with the backing of the rich people of the local country club. The other was a Mexican caddie and part time helper in the pro shop at the municipal course. His bets were being backed by hundreds of the local municipal players who had been beaten by the young caddy and wanted to get their money back. They of course played at the country club and Floyd shot a-4 68 which was just good enough to lose by two strokes.
The name of the caddy, Lee Trevino. Now YOU know the rest of the story. I remember Lee being asked about the pressure of a winning putt that meant $10, 000 ( big money in the 70s) difference between 1st and 2nd. His response was that was no pressure at all, he recalled his caddy days and said " REAL pressure is playing for $5 a hole when you know that you only have $2 in your pocket. "
