I just recently got an umbilical hernia while lifting weights at the gym. It doesn’t hurt, it is not discolored, and I don’t have time for surgery as I will be leaving for Mexico in a couple of weeks for the summer. I did get a hernia belt and it seems to work great for keeping my hernia at bay while in the gym. I’ll be surfing every day in Mexico and if need be, I’ll wear the belt. I typically stay away from hospitals/surgery unless it’s absolutely necessary!

I have my inguial hernia beside my pelvic bone .amost months ago .I wear hernia belt daily . And notice everytime i wear the belt it was gone . The only problem if i detached it meaning if i forgot to wear it, the hernia protrude again, to the point i push it ang wear the belt back to normal . So i did not go to operation, i massage it every night and ask god help. I did it daily . I'm old enough to go to operation . I feel i am normal as long i wear hernia belt

I prefer other doctors who said that symptomatic or asymptomatic hernia is a basis for surgery....So not all hernias need surgery

I wore one of those hernia braces, my hernia was on my right, had the hernia for years and wore the brace a few months? Can’t be sure exactly on the time but I just made sure to push the hernia back in and wore the brace everyday…. Now it has been more than maybe 8 years? Not sure exactly how long but long enough to know that was a worthwhile method~

I think I had belly button hernia, seems to have gone away, belly button was pushed out and around it was hard, now its soft and bully button is back in.

Was unable to bend a few weeks ago now am fine, its weird I was looking forward to surgery, 6 weeks off work :(
