Might be a weird question but does this work also on Deployed servers? Do I have to set the environment variable in the Cloud for that?

Instead of vertex AI cant we just use api key from Google AI Studio. Integrate in our code just run the code. Instead of using vertex AI. Or if there is any point i am missing please confirm.
