What I liked the most about Gemini is how easy an image can be generated for me to change my wallpaper for example. But it is true that it cannot replace GA as of today.

The best aspect of assistant is how fast it is. Until Gemini is remotely as fast, will be tough to replace assistant

the biggest issue for me is whenever you ask gemini anything it switches to the app, rather than giving you the answer in the pop up window.

This is one of the rare instances where having Bixby is useful. I can use Gemini for its AI features, while using Bixby for its more comprehensive device control.

The fact that Gemini isn't smart enough to start playing a song in YouTube Music from vocal direction the way Assistant can is kind of laughable and a deal breaker. Gemini seems focused on pumping out an essay instead of just performing extremely simple tasks which Assistant is very good at. I cannot see how Gemini is a replacement for Assistant if it can't do the most basic tasks.

It's stupid that you can't use the app without setting it as your assistant. I would like to be able to keep my Google Assistant and use Gemini in the app just like GPT and Microsoft co-pilot on mobile. I shouldn't have to lose the main reason I bought a pixel just to use Gemini

Before Google released Gemini, they should've made sure it replaced GA in its entirety. I do like using Gemini though when trying to get as much information on something I'm looking into or finding something I want.

I'll stay with GA as bad as it is, until they drag me into Gemini. My family is comfortable with assistant in our home and pulling support for routines and music/podcast control would put a big hole in the current use case

At the very least, they should give us an option to use the chatbot in the app without replacing the Google Assistant. it should be an option if someone wants to replace the Assistant with Gemini, but again, that should be optional.

Note : any of the Google assistant tasks like making a call and sending a message etc only work when using voice and not if you type. If you type the same prompt it will say it's just a language model.

Since using Gemini I can't see Answers because the prompt box takes up a lot of the screen, tried most things but the experience on my Chromebook is totally different to on my pixel 6p, love your videos by the way, 😊 Sunderland UK 🇬🇧

Played around with Gemini, its half baked tbh. Its slow to respond than google assistant. It can't identify music & tell me the song name but Google Assistant can, using this feature a lot. So im sticking with Google Assistant for until Gemini gets sorted
