Use the version shown in this video, newer version shows only bison models to me

hey I live in Switzerland (a country that is not whitelisted for gemini pro) how can I get access to the api (especially obtain an API key) I really want to try it out but I feel like it's not very easy.
Like I can't even access google AI Studio (only collab)

Whenever I attempt to access Google Ai Studio, it restricts me, giving this message:
"Access restricted

make a Streamlit application like a pdf bot with it. Application building with it is needed for most of now.
