Imagine being up the tree in such a situation. This beast can easily still grasp you mid-air if you try and jump! They may look slow and heavy but are damn fast too with incredible reflexes. So dangerous!

Always impressed me that something without any limbs can climb better than humans

At first glance you wouldn't notice that there was a snake there, the camouflaging feature on this snake is impeccable. Amazing yet deadly

I had a few friends that were a much bigger snake than that.

Technically the second largest python species in Africa, but still a beautiful snake! Python Sebae is definitely slightly larger than Python Natalensis though if you want to get technical. Would love to see one in the wild someday. Great video!

Looks like the tree has a double trunk. Camouflage colouring is amazing.

I love the bush...
Born and bred Safrican...
Hate shoes...
Prefer the outdoors...
A mountain biker too...
55 Years and rarely have I come across a snake...
A couple through the years yes...but they inevitably shied away...
We had quite a few puffadders on the farm who only ever came to drink water on the back stoep...
Have yet to see such a beautiful creature though...
Massive...agile...wow...

You know this is the most hardest snake to die. We have encountered this before in our province. They came into our poultry at late evening. We have sliced many parts of its body but still managed to escape. Head is the blind spot. Just don't let yourself being caught by their fangs. Will not ler you escape.
