Shrink fit with a bit of solder built in are what you need Richsrd and Hazza. Easy to use and a secure watertight connection. Cheap enough off amazon or ebay.

You two always make me smile Richard, the banter and Harry's "Part Time" quip is just brilliant 🤣. Well done Harry, great to pull Dads leg sometimes. LED's use much less current so won't drain the tractor battery as quickly if the engines not running.
You should also think about the outside lighting around the yard. When you get any halogen floodlights failing, you can get Mains voltage LED complete Floodlights for little more than the cost of the halogen tubular bulbs. LED's use less electric and give a heck of a lot more light. Also consider them in the Barns or Milking shed whenever you need to replace bulbs. You just need to set them so they don't shine into eyes, either yours or the livestock. The other advantage with LEDs is they don't get hot like halogen lamps, so less of a fire risk.
BTW Richard... Good to hear your latest check-up went well, maybe the Doc will keep you on low dose meds for the future just as insurance against any possibility of a repeat. I'm on loads of stuff which at first I thought was a nuisance but, it's kept me well.
Crack on mate and family.

Two things I'd suggest given the state of the lamps you've removed you need to find the luca connection for the all the oxsilery lamps because I've got a feeling moisture has got into them and that's why the fuse was blowing it's also probable the switch is playing up and it's also putting bubble fuses of a lesser rating in and is it separate switches or a two perstion switch because I've heard of those coursing problems with melted contacts. Another saying a little knowledge is dangerous to much is suersidle.

Well done. The spot light that isn't working looks like the wires are the wrong way round. A led light won't work if it wired up wronge a normal bulb well work both ways round. Yes the bulb missing maybe the fault.
