I live in Chicago, USA. We do have sidewalks, bike paths, and walking trails. Chicago has a 28 mile lakefront and a 28 mile bike trail. I love living at the lakefront. Every morning I watch the sun come up over Lake Michigan. I walk everyday. We have some of the most beautiful parks and streets in America. Our city has some of the greatest architectural masterpieces in the world. Please, come for a visit. You'll love our elevated train around the city. Greetings from Chicago!

I live in Ottawa, Canada. I go for a walk religiously every day over lunch, rain and snow and sun. If it’s nice out I’ll grab a coffee from my little neighbourhood coffee shop and sit in the park and watch the birds and the squirrels and sometimes the bus loads of tourists taking selfies. Weekends I’ll hit the mountain bike trails. Always puts a smile on my face. Love your videos Seve. So therapeutic and thought-provoking.

Seve, greetings from the Western US (Northern Utah). I’m a 69 year old California native who saw my home state go from a population of 15 million in the 1950s to 40 million! The curse of the American West is urban sprawl. I love your channel and look forward to your videos and positive thoughts on simple living. I’m also in awe at the beauty of Finland and love hearing about your culture.

Utah has five National Parks in the southern part of our state. Annual visitation is now in the millions and some parks have to require reservations for the Summer months. It’s a delicate balance for the park service to welcome visitors and to protect the pristine beauty and solace in areas that were very remote a generation ago. Arches National Park and Bryce Canyon are my two favorites.

If you get a chance, Google Delicate Arch, Utah—that’s a symbol for our state and is found on many license plates. A classic read is Edward Abbey’s Desert Solitaire—a book about Arches National Park from his time as a park ranger before paved roads in the 1960s. His writings helped develop the Western Environmental Movement.

And, if you ever come to Utah, it would be a blast to hike up to Delicate with you or hike around the hoodoos of Bryce Canyon “A hell of a place to lose a cow”. Stay awesome. Mike, aka, Siegfried

I didn't know I've been doing the Nordic lifestyle (and I am not even Scandinavian) all my life (of course except the sauna) I have not been doing it tho, because I have been depressed, but I got curious about the Nordic lifestyle and I want to incorporate it into my life and surprised that I have been doing it all along. I am trying to get it back, although it is hard, but I am going to make it guys.

I live in Minnesota where we have quite a bit of Nordic and Germanic ancestry and some of this mindset exists still, but it is sadly mostly going away or gone..

growing up, i always tried to implement the mindset of like, hey it's still nice outside. just different conditions and i am in a town where EVERYONE either complains it's not winter, it's not summer, etc. the discontentment is something i never understood or got really, it's just strange to me.

You forgot to mention another great thing about November in Finland... all of the gigantic Summer insects disappear!! I had never seen mosquitoes so large that you can hear them flying around, and they of course, can leave gigantic bites on your skin. No, we don't miss them at all when November rolls around, haha!

Where I'm from saunas are mostly a playing ground for "gentlemen who prefer the company of other Gentlemen". so it would be very difficult to meditate in the sauna🤣.

Saunas are of minimal benefit, only providing psychological relief. Other than that, they don't contribute much to better health. Aerobic exercise is much better for you as it exercises the muscles and heart and increases your metabolic rate.
