I wanted to add my wife as an authorized user to my American Express Platinum card. The AMEX Platinum and Gold authorized user cards are very different, so I walked through many of the perks and benefits, like the Global Lounge collection (Centurion Lounges), Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit, Marriott and Hilton elite status, and much more. Since I believed spending $175 annually was worth it, at least in the first year, watch me apply for the Platinum authorized user card!

Hey everyone, American Express has updated their authorized user fees and I hope to make a video about it, but until then, here's the quick details:

- Additional Platinum cards are now $195 every year
- Additional Platinum cards are now $195 EACH every year, instead of $175 total for the first 3 cards
- Additional Gold cards are now called "Companion Platinum Cards" and still have a $0 annual fee
