A easier way to do number 3 is by knowing that if the container is 60% full and you add 6 liters, you get 75%, so you would know that 75 minus 60 is 15. So 15% is 6 liters. Now you want to figure out how to find the number liters at 60% full, so is you multiply the 15 and 6 by 4, you would get 60% equals 24 liters. Now it tells you that ito adds 10 to make it 60% full so just subtract 24 by 10, and you would get 14.

for the last one, you can do:
n + 10L = 60% (in the question it says there are n liters of water and ito adds 10 liters, which then equals to 60%)
n + 16L = 75% (16 because you added 6L to 10L, which then equals to 75%)
subtract them both, and then you have 6L = 15%
multiply both sides of 6L = 15% by 4 which then gets you to 24L = 60%
and since we know that ito added 10L to fill 60%, we subtract 10L from 24L which then gives you 14L
so n = 14L

For the first answer I did it in a different method

I did 100-45=55 which means there is 55% of men and then I did 45-21= 24 and that is the percentage of women who do commute and it says 60% of the population commutes so I did 100-24=76 and 76-60=16 and boom I got 16%

Hmm the last question can be done in a more “simpler” way, so n+16=75 and 6L=15% then 75/15=5 and 6*5=30 so 30-16=14(n)
