One of the Most Productive Photography Trips of my Life

I spent three weeks in November and December travelling around the US south west and the forests of the Pacific North west, a bucket list trip that I’ve wanted to do for years. The south west more than met my expectations, it’s an incredible stunning place with some of the most unique landscapes I’ve ever seen.

Chris also has a fantastic Youtube channel @ChrisDarnell

Please note, none of the drone footage or images in this video were shot in a National or State park. I was travelling with three local people and we thoroughly checked to make sure we knew the legislation and that all laws were respected at all times.

Was in Bryce Canyon a week ago, after watching your review of (and buying) the GF 20-35 two weeks ago. So nice to see how you capture the same landscape and learning from you. I hope you took the highway into Zion when you drove to Vegas (passing Keyhole Canyon and Checkerboard Mesa). It's a mesmerizing drive.

I have the need to let you know how much I appreciate your channel. I just recently returned to my old photography hobby and got myself a fujifilm x-t5 and three lenses. Your approach and voice are an absolute absolute inspiration.
Keep up your fantastic work and thank you.

Excellent video Andy. What a beautiful part of the world. This may have already been asked, but I noticed on this trip you are using your XT5 and not your GFX system. I assume this was due to size and weight? After using your XT5 for this trip do you see yourself using the XT5 more than the GFX moving forward? Thanks again for creating such fantastic work.

The coordination it must take (not to mention the effort) of setting up these shots must involve alot of expertise, practice and instincts. The compositions at White Pocket were completely surreal and the drone shots are practically hypnotic. Really brilliant.

From the bottom of the Grand Canyon continuously up 100 miles north to the plateaus of southern Utah is a sedimentary record going back 600 million years. That’s why they call it the Grand Staircase. Such a stunning, awe-inspiring landscape…

Whoa, amazing shots, Andy! Those from White Pocket were re
especially impressive! Seems like the Sigma 10 - 18 would've nicely fit in your bag... Since the Sigma and 8 mm are quite small, I think they're gonna replace my 10 - 24 sooner or later. Glad your trip came out so worthwhile for you. Maybe someday... 😊

I was in Bryce around this time around 15 years ago, I saw 4 other people ... obviously not many people visit when it's cold. Over a period of 5 or 6 year I spend some (lots of) time in Utah, it is just magnificent. No matter how much time you use you'll never be able to see everything.
