CAN I LEARN SPANISH IN 3 MONTHS?

Is it possible to become fluent in a second language in a matter of 3 months? Let's talk about this and find out whether we can or not...spoiler alert: we can't, at least not in 3 months, let's find out why and how to become fluent, perhaps not in 3 months but at least in a reasonable period of time, setting realistic goals!

I’ve been in Ecuador for two years. Before coming here I followed videos on line and used apps for several months … 2 years later I’m still learning and I’ve been able to have conversations with a native Spanish speaking friend … but barely. I use translator a lot to find the right words. I’m sure I sound like a five year old, but I love the language. I’m 67 years old … never too late to start. 😊. I just found you channel this past week. I'm exactly 4 months into Spanish. I find the Spanish dictionary app very helpful for pronunciation and examples. I like google translate for making sentences and trying to understand patterns. I like to cross reference. Third, Duolingo is helpful as well for more understanding.

Spanish is beautiful and fairly easy, especially if you had two years of Latin in high school--God bless you Mrs. Sweet!
