Continuing this week’s hard surface saga, we look at making circular hard surface details, using the Curve modifier as well as Knife Project to slice / dice the object so it can bend nicely.

Only amendment to have this work in 3.2.2 is that after deleting Only Faces on the Plane, in Object mode, the mesh Plane needs to be converted to a curve. Then the Knife Project should work as expected.
Also, once in Edit mode, you can Ctrl+LMB select the Plane from the Outliner and it makes it much easier while in Front view. And as mentioned in a previous comment, Knife Project will need to be set to Cut Through, otherwise it will only affect the front faces.

You probably also want to select "Cut through" on the Knife project options dialog that appears.

Oh, very nice. A sort of "to sphere" but more accurate.
I guess it works even with every kind of curves other than a closed shape, right?
