For the rotation value, instead of manually rotatings it until more or less is in place, it is better to write on the rotation value ´360/(number of pieces)´ blender will do the math automatically, so the rotation will be precise.

i do not understand why its so hard to add an option "rotate along XYZ axis" to array modifier

I don't understand why but when I add the array and the count is bigger than 1 it just adds a bunch of random shapes in different directions

whats less awesome is how they still require you to do a checkbox-chase-ritual for a simple task like this, which is why i just use addons for that task :D

Also remember not to scale that empty or it will affect the scale of the objects in the array.

If it doesn't work, apply object transformation, set origin to the empty. Also if you want to change the origin layer, just move the object on edit mode

as soon as i select the object offset it spawns in the cube in a bigger size and as soon as try to add more and rotate they just scale like crazy ... dunno why

Nice and useful.
Is there a quick way to randomly rotate every object while doing the array?
It would be useful, especially when you have several levels of arrays.

mine is just going crazy everytime and each one is bigger than the next. they look random to me

❤ thank you for your amazing tips! Maybe you know how to handle with my task? I need modifier, constraint or geometry node (basically non destructive way) that will make transformation values to 0 without reseting it. For example I am making linked dublicated meshes and move each mesh to specific place i need, but then i need to those meshes to have transformations set to 0 and save link to each other. Can you help me with this challenge please?
