So You Blew Your Motor, Now What?
Показать описание
Over the past year I have talked to everyone about how to increase the reliability of your engine. But what happens if you blow up your motor? Well lets talk about it! It really boils down to a few options:
1) Rebuild the Stock Block
2) Buy a new OEM Block
3) Buy an After market Block
4) JDM Engine swap the car
There are definitely some things that you need to keep in mind when it comes down to what option you are going to go with. Each has their benefits but their drawbacks as well.
1) Rebuilding your stock block might be the most cost effective solution but it is really going to come down to what all is wrong with the motor. Sometimes it is not salvageable and in circumstances like that you might need to consider other options.
2) Buying an OEM Block does have its benefits as it may be covered under warranty by Subaru.
3) Aftermarket options are a very good idea for those looking to make good power. IAG, Rev Works and Crawford are some very good options to consider.
4) While JDM Engines might be cost effective, they are not the easiest to work with when it comes to modification.
