I realize it is just my personal experience but I ate far more eggs this year than any year of my life as part of the keto diet and my cholesterol is the lowest it has ever been.

I have always believed that the reason we are constantly flip-flopping on nutrition guidelines and recommendations was because of competing special interests funding different research.

My wife's grandma ate eggs almost every day of her life and lived to be 104 years old.

It might have been better to point out that they didn't find any difference between groups because the "non egg" group was allowed to eat foods that probably contained egg, like pancakes, toast, and pastries. The only difference was that one group was required to eat 2 plain eggs a morning with breakfast, and everyone else was supposed to avoid plain eggs. They were allowed to eat whatever they wanted the rest of the day. The control group could have had 2 eggs at lunch and it wouldn't have mattered. No one had to eat 100% egg-free at all, not even at breakfast. It's also worth noting that many students dropped out of the study and final test results were based on N=15 and N=12. These would have been much stronger points to make than wording about statistical significance.

And in the study I bet that they are eating Toast with Margarine and Jelly or hash browns fried in Crisco. I want all the benefits that Eggs give as well as the cholesterol. Sad that 80% of it in the body is created because of the inflammation causing foods that most eat daily...

One crazy thing about cholesterol ... I've eaten WFPB for nearly 40 years and I exercise a lot, so my cholesterol score was perfect in 2017 - the one time it was ever tested - pro-active health checks are rare in the UK.
Two years later and a virus laid me in bed inactive eating comfort food and my high BMI caught up with me and I was deemed "diabetic" on the basis of one solitary Hba1c reading.
I soon fixed that - lost 10KG, felt fitter than I had in years, Hba1c back to normal, but because I still had the label, my heart health score went from 7 percent to 17 and I was offered statins ...
I feel sorry for those in the US where these things are forced on them. I fully hope to be at optimal weight within 6 months and plan to put the miles in on my bike and am determined to get the "diabetic" label removed.

I have been eating 2 boiled eggs day for over 3 months and measured my cholesterol before and after. Total cholesterol was reduced from 234 to 167. LDL reduced from 158 to 101. Hdl from 47 to 48. Triglycerides decreased from 159 to 89. I also had Total protein 10 oz a day and Total net carbs < 20 g net carbs a day (4:cups of veggies.. broccoli, coliflower, green beans, zucchini, celery, kale). 64 oz of water a day. 64 oz between almond milk no sugar, chicken or beef broth. In addition of vitamins and minerals supplements.

Eggs are good or bad depends on how you cook them. If you fry them, you’re using cooking oil, which could be a factor causing the result of the studies you talked about. Chinese people steam eggs, boil eggs, put eggs in the soup. They won’t over cook the eggs. But Western people like to fry eggs, or bake eggs with high heat, which might reduce the goodness of the eggs. If you cook them in a good way, you get the benefit of them. It’s that simple!

About 4 years ago in my local NJ paper was an article about a 102 year old daredevil named Kenny Meyer who became the world's oldest skydiver. He would start each day with 2 eggs sunny side up. He was very health conscious and fit and a wonderful man to all that knew him.

No respected study would be conducted this way. First of all, college students… Are you serious? When I went to college, we experienced what was known as a freshman 15… also known as the 15 pounds you gained by getting to eat pretty much whatever you wanted during your first year. I’m betting that the college students would’ve had even worse cholesterol levels. Had they not been told to eat two eggs a day for five days a week for 14 weeks.

And I have to say, the guy in this video looks and sounds about as honest as a used car sales dealer.

Eating eggs in combination with an unhealthy diet with refined breads, oils etc will be bad, but if those participants ate eggs with other whole food such as whole veggies would have different results, and other factors such as excercise wernt considered.

The Mayo Clinic says that eggs do not raise cholesterol in 70% of healthy people. Nutritionists say EAT THE YOLKS, that's where the nutrition is. Our family had many relatives who lived past 90 and they ate eggs daily.

I’m so sick of the “egg controversy”. I love eggs and would just like to know if they’re really bad for me, just kinda ok, or actually good for me. I’ve heard and read so many different theories from doctors or people who claim to be doctors on YouTube. It seems like if you asked 100 doctors their opinions on eggs and cholesterol levels, heart disease, and all the other stuff, in the end the results would come out 50/50.

I eat two eggs in butter with spinach every morning.
My cholesterols are both perfect.
I do not eat any kind of meat only fish and fowl.
I also eat a lot of pecans and walnuts which regulate cholesterol.

I agree with some commentators here that industrial seed oils (e.g, those found in things like mayonnaise, salad dressings, and industrially baked goods) are a much bigger problem. The rise in cardiovascular disease in fact seems to coincide with their introduction into the food supply early in the last century. Even so they are probably harmless in very small quantities over a lifetime, but it's the constant consumption of them that is the problem.

My question is, how long did the cholesterol spike last? Anything we consume will show up in a blood test.
