What I love about you guys, is that you show and prove you dont have to use all first party gear to be professionals. I'm so sicken tired of so many channels reviewing third party lenses that are 95 % performance and be like "fine for amateurs, but if you are professional, buy first party lenses and gear"...

would you say there’s any noticeable difference between this and a Tamron 35–150 mm? I’ve been using the Tamron for a few months and I decided to get one for my wife, who second shoots for me and decided to go with the samyang this week but haven't been able to compare AF or IQ yet

Hi Taylor, great video! Can you do the day photos in electronic shutter? I know the mechanical has a long live, but if there's no difference in image quality, I see no point using the mechanical. How do people react if there's no sound as I know you shot Nikon weddings with electronic shutter only..

How is the friction on the zoom ring compared to the Tamron? My Samyang was very loose to where it was actually difficult to stay at the same focal length. If the camera was pointed down at all, the lens would immediately extend to 110mm.

Hello. I have one question which is really bothering me and i know you can help me. I am using Nikon Z6 and i am happy with how it performs in day time. But focus in dim light and low light is really bad it is hunting like crazy, super slow, and it misses a lot. Which one of Sony, Nikon and Canon performs best when focusing in low light. I am only doing photos. No video. I hope you can help me since you used them all. Thank you, i have been following you for years and i love your work, you really inspired me a lot.

True a bigger lens doesn't make you a professional but it can open doors. I have gotten into a lot of restricted areas with my big lens attached to the camera. I am a pro. Hobbies only

Am crying at the amount of natural light in that ceremony! Try plying your trade in mostly old English 1000 year old churches! With the ugliest strip lighting you ever done seen. Any thoughts on the coatings on this lens, I've heard people say that the coatings aren't as good as the Tamron and so it lacks the same DR. I'm still thinking through my usual preference for 35mm/85mm two body work. Great video.
