This was released at the end of 2016 and I watched this in 2020, 20k views and 23 comments. I think YouTube algorithm should recommends this kind of video to people who are watching stuff like food tour, street foods, and something like all you can eat restaurant.

Thank you for sharing this ❤️ I’m going to be a little kinder to myself for constantly relapsing in my binge eating behaviours. The cards are definitely stacked against us. Will need to keep trying harder to overcome & control this addiction

Really interesting presentation and represents the kind of problems that I see in young people. We probably need to work towards environmental control of Junk Food like we have with cigarettes and alcohol, and take a stand against the food industry (which is robbing our young people of their lives and health).

Stay completely AWAY from processed sugar and white flour... If you have an addictive personality, don't knock it till you have tried it for a month. Probably is, people often lie when they say they are adhering to advice...

Durian is high in carbs and fats... which is maybe why we south east asians love it so much, oh and China.

fat, carbs, protein were not ever an issue for obesity before the industrial revolution. it's the processing of foods and the overeating of them. If I eat a baked potato with butter (carb and fat) with sea salt, there is a point that I just get full and have had enough, and that's it, fork goes down. About a tablespoon of butter and 200-230 grams potato is all I can eat. But I can eat an entire bag of Tyrrells kettle chips, or a huge plate of curly fries, and never really feel full. I feel sick from all the fat and salt, but never satiated. People have eaten potatoes for a very long time, but not potato chips and seasoned curly fries. I could basically eat almost 4-5 times the calorie content with processed foods. I remember living in The States, eating curly fries dipped in ranch dressing🙈I could never eat the equivelent calories of baked or steamed potatoes.

I find this very interesting as some of the vegan doctors like Neal Barnard, Alan Goldhamer, and Michael Gregor have actually discussed the biological mechanisms (mainly dopamine, it seems) that underlie salt, sugar, fat, and dairy consumption. They make the observation that these same mechanisms operate in the same way that they do in illicit drug use, like cocaine.

Food addiction doesn't exist, carb/sugar addiction does. No one craves broccoli, think about that.
