Do I think Alec meant to kill Halyna? No. Does someone need to be held liable for the death of a young woman and mother due to negligence? Absolutely.

*The crypto market has been favourable in the past weeks, I keep missing out on this opportunity, I'm most certainly very impatient how can I ever make a profit in the crypto market*

Whether or not Alec was careless is one point. But why was there a live round in the gun? That has me stumped.

I don’t think Alec did the shooting intentionally but the guy that Quit wrote about safety concerns about the guns 😞

I've worked on film sets for six years and this is a nightmare. From my experience the three people responsible for on set gun safety are the director, the 1st AD, and the armorer. You don't want the actor being responsible for on set gun safety. It would lead to more accidents. The idea that a live round would be on set is insane. Film/TV is the only industry where you point a gun at someone, pull the trigger, and expect them to be fine. The idea that you wouldnever point a gun at someone on set is stupid. Turn on the TV right now and flip the channels. Stop when you see someone pointing a gun at another person. You won't make it ten channels.

Is it not the armourer's responsibility to ensure the gun is cold? Why was there live ammunition on a set at all? Who had access to the prop gun?

All I can say is the grace her husband showed Alec Baldwin after this incident is truly inspiring.

The lack of training and accountability is despicable

I’d say it would be smarter and more ethical to conduct this interview AFTER the legal process.

I dont understand why there is a need for real guns on a movie set. There is fake food and fake glass/wall/door etc but why a real gun?

How heartbreaking for everyone. Sadly, the person in charge of firearms wasn’t fit for the job. Really sad.

“ what is the actor’s responsibility?” It is a very good question to ask.

The armorer (or prop master) is responsible for ensuring weapon safety on set. You have to look at what was “out of sorts” on that set.
The armorer was totally inexperienced. On her previous film, which was her first, she would carry guns in a reckless way, pointing them at people. She shot a gun as Nicolas Cage walked by, and he demanded she be fired.
This is all available by searching YT. Hannah Gutierrez-Reed had been careless on her first gig, and her main job on “Rust” was to ensure no live ammo was in the weapons. Yet she didn’t bother checking the weapon before its hand-off. It was her job to hand the weapon to the actor. She did not do her job properly, and it cost one life.

This whole interview has a weird vibe to it.

They need to find out who loaded that gun, that person is responsible.

It's not Baldwin's fault. The primary responsibility lies with the armorer. Either she messed up big time or someone change the bullets before handing the gun to Baldwin.

To say "you never point a gun at ANYONE on a movie set" is false. How else are you gonna get the scenes where actors shoot other actors? I don't think this was intentional, but I do think the blame is being passed around.

i mean, i’m obviously not alone in this observation…but of all the horrifying things said here, none may be more catastrophic than “it is one persons job to make sure it’s safe…”
but we neglected to have that person present during the scene. Got it.

It's nice of him to say he completely trusts armorer but he forgot to mention Gutierrez-Reed wasn't present during those camera tests. Which leads to the series of failures which lead to the accident:
- there shouldn't be any (live) gun on the set as she should keep it locked in safety
- assistant director shouldn't give (live) gun to Baldwin as he had no right to do so
- Halyna shouldn't tell him to point the gun at her and pull the hammer up and down
- assistant director Hall shouldn't be the one who is giving the actor (live) gun, he didn't check it
- director on the set should have not allowed such carelessness
- Baldwin should have checked the gun himself prior to taking it (and not blindly trust anyone when the armorer wasn't around)
- they shouldn't use the very same pistol to shoot cans during lunch-time before as casual activity
Baldwin probably doesn't want to harm his production and blame his crew but the fact is whole production was highly unprofessional and following by accidental gun discharge before they were asking for it. Gutierrez-Reed is responsible as she was paid exactly for such thing to not happen.
