Alec Baldwin is speaking out in his first television interview since the fatal accidental shooting on the set of his film "Rust." On Thursday, the 63-year-old actor had an exclusive interview with ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos where he detailed the moments leading up to the shooting, explaining that the late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was telling him where to point the gun. I call BS, it took Baldwin 45 minutes to realize he shot somebody? The gun going bang a person dropping to the ground bleeding, didn't give him a clue something went wrong? How does a person clueless get a driver's license?

I don't like his position of not being guilty, responsible or regretful of the events. He acts like he wasn't even part of it and points fingers at everyone else. He could have checked the gun himself for 2 seconds. There is a saying that the buck stops here. It should have stopped with him checking it before pointing it at someone and using it.

Someone is responsible, just not you. Yeah yeah.

“The trigger pulled itself.”

The first story was that Men working on the set were target practicing with live rounds a day before the fatal shot. What happened to knowing that the real gun's were being shot by random people on set. No one checked or rechecked the gun.

Every time I pick up a gun first thing I do is check if it's loaded. You can hand wave all you want, but that's what should have happened here.

Those who are saying Alec is guilty- Sorry but if he thought the gun was a prop, and had NO REASON to believe that the gun would ever be loaded, I don't see how this is his fault!? That's almost like blaming a child who uses a toy gun and pretends to shoot his friend, and one day someone exchanged it with a real gun... then blaming the child as a murderer... NOT fair.

Just watched the whole interview. At 1st, He was explaining exactly how it occurred very clearly.Seemed credible. The entire rest of the interview for 50 minutes was completely self serving And him Explaining how it just wasn't his fault. Explained how he didn't think it was his Responsibility Check the gun Himself because others had done so.Self serving. That's who this guy is

I have accidentally fired an old pistol by releasing the hammer before it was completely pulled back. I was surprised that the hammer could strike the primer without the trigger being pulled but some old guns don't have that safety mechanism.

Please leave that man alone. Let him mourn. He was saying that it was an accident of what he did. He already blamed himself for accidentally taking an innocent lady’s life. He still loved and cared for her, and he was happy that the Director survived. R.I.P. to the cinematographer and sending prayers and loves to her family

It's a revolver. That's how it's fires the bullet. You have to EASE the hammer back down. This was NOT A ACCIDENTAL FIRE. He pointed the gun - IGNORED UNION RULES & 35 YEARS WORTH OF SAG SAFETY RULES AND DID NOT VISUALLY INSPECT YOUR OWN WEAPON & DRY FIRE THE ENTIRE CYLINDER AT THE GROUND BEFORE EACH SCENE - Then pulled back the hammer and then pulled the trigger 2 feet from her stomach. He ignored union rules, SAG RULES and EVERY MOVIES GENERAL SAFETY RULES OF NEVER FIRE A WEAPON AT ANYONE DIRECTLY.
Alec has been in 35+ years worth of war movies, Cop shows, action and westerns. John Schneider owns a production lot & film set. He was BO DUKE and has been acting since 1974. He walks through Union and SAG safety rules on his channel. He even compared a PROP GUN TO A REAL FIRE ARM LEASED FOR A MOVIE. This is a REAL authentic COLT, This is NOT A PROP GUN. This GUN was discharged THREE TIMES the day prior with LIVE ROUNDS. That's why the crew left!! Alec roved the fired bullets from the gun before the cops got on the set. WHY?? Alec was filmed by fox on camera buying booze 2 weeks before this list of Accidental shootings. Did he fall off the wagon and go back to drinking?!?! Maybe that's why the safety was so crazy & everyone's checks were not paid. This job was real rocky and they were cutting costs allover... why??

FIRST THING FIRST - THIS IS A REAL GUN LEASED FOR A MOVIE. THIS WAS NOT A PROP GUN. PROP GUNS CAN NOT FIRE REAL BULLETS.

Why isn't Alec charged with manslaughter? Someone handed him a firearm. No matter who had it or any bullets in it, once receiving it it is his responsibility to check and accept responsibility anything that takes place with that firearm. Through his negligence, he did not check the bullets, he did not maintain muscle awareness and he did not keep his finger off the trigger. Through his negligent actions someone is dead
